Photo Exhibit Challenges Eye of Viewer
"The Intricacies" is the title of Andrea Huber's exhibit at Amarillo College's Lynn Library Southern Light Gallery. The color photographs by this out-of-town (California?) photographer may also be seen as deliberately contradictory.
Each of the seven, 16x22 inch images is clearly realistic - but in most cases it requires a double (or triple or quadruple) -take to figure out whether we're looking at flesh ... or cloth ... or what?
But there's no doubt that we're seeing light, color, forms, spaces, shapes, interacting with one another. And with intensely articulated textures.
